These youth have changed the world (already)!

I wish I had the right words to express the wonderment and awe I feel after attending the Earth Island Brower Youth Awards last night! For the fourth year I had the extreme privilege to photograph the youth winner portraits. They feel like I am giving them something, and I am, but it is the beautiful exchange that they don’t realize they are also giving me.

These six youth have won because of environmental and social leadership in their communities. Because of winning they receive leadership training, connections, education, and comradeship with the other winners. They have now joined a community of the winners who have gone before them for the last fourteen years.

Do not watch the news and believe what you are seeing. Watch these youth and believe that there is hope for our future because for them the future is here and it is now.
