If you have been following me over the last few months you may have noticed my passion for Storybook portraits arise. These portraits don’t just include little girls in princess dresses, they include stories of all kinds, including stories of the past.
Imagine my delight when serendipity knocked on my door with an invitation to attend the Vintage Day celebration at the Groveland Hotel as a portrait photographer. Not so much an event photographer, although you will probably find me stealing moments throughout the day, but to offer the best of my talents as a fine art portrait photographer. In scouting the hotel this week I became so excited about the possibilities I could offer the guests. The Groveland Hotel is creating the coolest event in Vintage Day. Ginger and the Hoosier Daddys will be providing entertainment to take you back in time, dance lessons will get you ready for the big night, an afternoon ice cream social to welcome you, a vintage menu dinner and dancing complete the evening. The Art Deco Society is going to be in attendance and those who attend will be in costume!
Stunning vintage location, blast from the past activities and entertainment and all the attendees in costume!
Come early for the Photographer’s Reception in the Lillie Langtry Suite #5 on Friday May 31st from 4-5:30pm. We’ll be hosting champagne and h’ordeuvres and showing a gallery of images to give you ideas for your memory making portrait session.
Saturday, June 1st there will be limited portrait appointments available throughout the day in selected locations: vintage car in front of the hotel, Lillie Langtry Suite session, balcony and stairway. Gorgeous prints of your favorite images will be available to order after the event. Combine your personal portraits with images throughout the day that complete the story of Vintage Day in a special book.
